The Federal Government has renewed the appointment of Dr Emeka Onwe-Ogah as the Chief Medical Director (CMD) Federal Teaching Hospital, Abakaliki, Ebonyi.
A statement by Mrs Boade Akinola, Director Media and Public Relations, Federal Ministry of Health, said the reappointment of Onwe-Ogah was for a second and final term of four years with effect from May 26.
The Minister of Health, Prof. Isaac Adewole, who announced the appointment, was quoted in the statement as congratulating the CMD.
Adewole urged him to imbibe the spirit of team work and ensure that the hospital continued to provide quality healthcare services to Ebonyi and its environs.
The minister also advised him to focus more on effective service delivery and treating patients with respect in order to build public trust in the public health sector.
He further charged the CMD to work harder and improve on the achievements already attained in the Hospital; and also justify the confidence reposed on him.
Adewole said this could be achieved by working harmoniously with all stakeholders in the sector.
