The Federal Government has announced Tuesday, October 15 and Wednesday, October 16, 2013 as public holidays.
The break is to enable Muslims celebrate the Eid-el-Kabir festival which comes up on Tuesday, October 15.
Muslims worldwide had celebrated Eid-el-Fitr in August, to mark the end of the fasting and prayer (Ramadan) period.
The announcement of the holiday was contained in a statement released on Thursday by the Ministry of Interior.
Interior Minister, Abba Moro in the statement wished Muslims and all Nigerians a happy Sallah celebrations.
