Oliver Kahn has revealed that Sir Alex Ferguson is yet to forgive him, for turning down the opportunity to sign for Manchester United.
The former Germany goalkeeper, had a chance to move to Old Trafford in 1994, but opted to join Bayern Munich.
Kahn went on to win eight Bundesliga titles and one Champions League crown during his 14 years with the Bavarian club.
“Alex Ferguson has never forgotten that,” Kahn, 45, told football social networking website, Fanbooks.
“He still holds that against me to this day.”
Former United goalkeeper Peter Schmeichel, who himself played for eight years under Ferguson, also told Kahn that he made a mistake by snubbing Ferguson.
“You never say no to Sir Alex,” Schmeichel said.
“It would have been a good experience for Kahn (at United).”
