In a re-enactment of the ‘Assurance’ episode popularised by popular singer, Davido, the Majority Leader of the House of Representatives, Mr. Femi Gbajabiamila at the weekend surprised his wife, Yemisi, as he gifted her a Mercedes Benz G-Wagon, with plate number ‘Assurance.’
The white-coloured SUV present was in celebration of the spouse’s 50th birthday. In a video trending online which captured the moment, Gbajabiamila was seen embracing his wife, who was all smiles as they walked round the vehicle.
Gbajabiamila, representing Surulere I constituency of Lagos state, presented his wife with the gift with cheers from apparent close friends and family even as the horn of the vehicle was blared. Meanwhile, former Finance minister, Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, had called out Gbajabiamila for trying to distort the truth in her book: “Fighting Corruption is Dangerous”, stating that the Majority Leader tried to change her statement in the book concerning the N17 billion in the 2014 budget for his personal interest.
