Federal High Court restrains Amaechi’s Commission of Inquiry on politically motivated killings

A Federal High Court in Port Harcourt has issued an interim Injunction restraining the Chairman and members of the Commission of Inquiry on Politically Motivated Killings in Rivers State from sitting, pending the hearing and determination of the motion for interlocutory injunction in court.

Justice HA Nganjiwa of the Federal High Court also abridged the time for the respondents to file their response within 3 days upon service and adjourned the matter till May 6, 2015 for hearing of the motion on Notice for interlocutory injunction.

Counsel to the PDP, Dike Udenna told DAILY POST that with the order, the commission will not sit pending the determination of the matter at the federal High Court .
