The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, National Chairman, Prince Uche Secondus has condemned the invasion of Ekiti government house and the alleged plan to assassinate Governor Ayodele Fayose.
DAILY POST had reported that Fayose was on Wednesday reportedly teargassed by security operatives in the Government House, Ado-Ekiti.
His Special Adviser on Public Communication and New Media, Lere Olayinka who confirmed the incident on Twitter said Fayose was teargassed by the policemen who laid siege at the Government House and was now receiving treatment at the Government House’s clinic.
But in a swift reaction, Secondus said the failed assassination of Governor Fayose was the height of tyranny by the Buhari led administration.
He, however, called on the International communities and the National Assembly to speak up against the tyrants in power.
He wrote on Twitter, ”The height of impunity of this tyrannical Government is unacceptable.
”The tyrannical nature of @MBuhari will lead this country into chaos. If this is not checked, there will be no elections in 2019 in Nigeria
”I call on the International communities, Civil Societies, NGOs and the National Assembly @NGRSenate to speak up against the Tyrants in Power.
”The failed assassination attempt on @GovAyoFayose by the men of @PoliceNG today in Ado-Ekiti is the height of tyranny by the @Mbuhari and @OfficialAPCNg.
”We will not be moved or shaken by these intimidations and harassments. The Spirit of fear has taken flight and spirit of God has taken over, we must stand up to defend our people.”
