Fayose’s aide slams APC Senator, Ojudu; says “he’s negative influence on Ekiti&#82

Special Assistant to the Ekiti State Governor on Public Communications and New Media, Lere Olayinka has carpeted the Senator representing Ekiti Central, Babafemi Ojudu, describing him as a negative influence on the State.

According to Olayinka, Ojudu is a negative influence on Ekiti State, alleging that the Senator can now call him a lair because he has refused to join his camp to destroy Ekiti state.

Olayinka said; “even though I respect Senator Ojudu because of his age, truth must be told; he was responsible for the political instability in the State, which resulted to the State having 10 governors in 16 years, and Ekiti people will not let him (Ojudu) have his way this time around.”

It would be recalled that Ojudu had referred to the governor’s aide in a newspaper interview as a liar, saying; “The boy is just a compulsive liar,” going disclosing further that, “since Fayose came to power, no court has sat in Ekiti State. There is no Legislature, no judiciary, nothing! What we have in Ekiti is a maximum ruler who does not fancy the rule of law.”

Reacting however, Olayinka described as wicked lie claim by the Senator that no court has sat in Ekiti since Fayose assumed office, saying; “If Ojudu thinks that the way he used falsehood, propaganda and fake security men to remove Governor Fayose in 2006, he can do same in 2015, he is making a mistake.”

He said apart from waging war against the democratically elected governors of the State, Ojudu’s other contribution to the State was the Miss Ekiti Beauty Pageant that he alongside his E-11 people used to cajole young ladies in the State into prostitution.

The governor’s aide said; “It is on record that Ojudu waged war against Otunba Niyi Adebayo, using his Tempo and The News Magazines, he did the same against Governor Fayose during his first tenure, using PM News, despite being among those who urged Engr Segun Oni to contest the governorship and that he played prominent roles in the formation Oni’s campaign organisation, the Ekiti Development Agenda (EDA), Ojudu still waged war against Oni.

“The only Governor he (Ojudu) did not fight openly was Dr Kayode Fayemi and it was because of his position as a member of the APC and a senator. Even at that, Ojudu clandestinely waged war against Fayemi, causing division in the APC with his Action Group caucus.

“The reality is that Ojudu will wage war against anybody just to achieve his personal ambition and this he did immediately Fayemi left government. Ojudu started destroying Fayemi to the extent that he allegedly took a recording of what Fayemi did to Senator Bola Tinubu, and it was on that note that he (Fayemi) almost lost his relationship, with Tinubu.

“Leaders of the APC can come to Ekiti to find out why Ojudu is the most hated politician in the State today, with people calling him names like Senator Asemo, Senator Maa rie later, etc because he did nothing in terms of developing the Central Senatorial District that he represents. When the Vice President-Elect, Prof Yemi Osinbajo came to Ekiti to campaign, Ojudu was not allowed to speak. He was openly booed by members and supporters of the APC. Was Governor Fayose responsible for that as well?”

On Ojudu’s claim that he was a liar, Olayinka said; “When he (Ojudu) was introducing me to Engr Segun Oni in 2005, that I was an asset to the struggle to remove Governor Fayose, I was not a liar then.

“When I and others were his foot soldiers between 2004 and 2006 that he led the onslaught against Governor Fayose, I was not a liar then.

“Is it now that I have chosen not to join him in his new quest to destabilize Ekiti as he did when Adebayo, Fayose and Oni were governors that I have become a liar?

“The man just deserves to be told the hard truth and this time around, if nobody is willing to tell him, I, Lere Olayinka will tell him to his face that he is a negative influence on Ekiti State because I fear no one except God.”
