The outgoing Governor of Ekiti State, Ayodele Fayose on Saturday received Bisi Fayemi, wife of the state Governor-Elect, Kayode Fayemi, at the Government House in Ado-Ekiti.
Fayose received members of the Inauguration Committee and Transition Committee set up Fayemi, who was on a working visit to the Government House.
Led by the wife of the governor-elect, Mrs. Fayemi, the committee was received by outgoing Gov. Fayose and some members of his cabinet.
NAN reports that Fayose, who said he was happy to receive the team, restated his readiness to cooperate with the incoming administration.
He disclosed that he would officially hand over the government house tomorrow, Sunday to the state police commissioner, having first handed over the government’s handover notes to the Head of Service on Friday.
Fayemi commended Fayose for hosting the committee, noting that the visit and inspection were part of the committee’s assignment.
She expressed delight on the availability of the complex to host some of the guests that would be on ground for Fayemi’s inauguration.
Those on Mrs. Fayemi’s entourage included Mr. Deji Ajayi, Mr. Tade Aluko, Mr. Dapo Karonwi, Mr. Biodun Oyebanji and Mrs. Bunmi Obanise
Fayose also confirmed the visit via a tweet, “I am presently taking Dr. Kayode Fayemi’s Wife, Erelu Bisi and other members of the inauguration committee round the Govt House.
“Tomorrow, I will hand over the Govt House to the Head of Service.”
