Fayose, Ekiti monarchs, meet Aregbesola in Osogbo‎

The Governor of Ekiti State, Mr Ayodele Fayose on Sunday met behind the closed door with Governor Rauf Aregbesola of Osun State.

DAILY POST reliably gathered that one of the major subjects of discussion in the meeting, was the ongoing face-off between Governor Ayodele Fayose and members of the Association of Petroleum Marketers.

This is as some of the top echelon of the association were sighted at the Osun State Government house, ahead of the meeting, aimed at finding lasting solution to the impasse.

Governor Aregbesola was said to have initiated the truce due to his strong relationship with the National leadership of the association.

However, there are other feelings that Governor Fayose might be using the truce to discuss the modality for his possible political alliance with the All Progressive Congress (APC).

Due to the lingering in the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), some of the loyalists of the Sen. Makarfi-led group are believed to be scheming for a plan B.

A source disclosed that the Governor of Ekiti State, who is a leading member of the group has been making a frantic move to find an alternative political platform other than the PDP.
