Fayose approves N237m car loan for Ekiti civil servants

Governor Ayodele Fayose of Ekiti State has approved the sum of N236,860,000 as car loan to 773 civil servants in the State.

Disclosing this in Ado-Ekiti, the state capital, the state Commissioner for Finance, Toyin Ojo, said the loan, which ranges from N80,000 to N1.5 million, would be paid in full to the beneficiaries.

Ojo stated that the grade levels of the 773 beneficiaries were taken into consideration before approving the loans.

He revealed that those who could not meet up with the state government’s screening condition of 50 percent of their net pay would be considered upon meeting the terms.

The Commissioner further reiterated the governor’s commitment towards the welfare of workers, adding that the second batch of beneficiaries of the car loan would be released soon.
