The Minister of Solid State Minerals, Mr Kayode Fayemi, who is a former governor of Ekiti State, on Tuesday ignored Governor Ayodele Fayose and his counterpart from Ondo State, Mr Rotimi Akeredolu.
The trio met at the 8-day Fidau of Governor Rauf Aregbesola’s mother in Ilesa, Osun State.
DAILY POST observed that Fayemi just went straight to greet a chieftain of Afenife, Chief Ayo Adebanjo, who was sitting in the same row with the duo and other dignitaries.
Fayemi, after exchanging pleasantries with Chief Adebanjo went ahead to greet a former governor of Ekiti State, Chief Niyi Adebayo, before taking his seat.
It should be recalled that governor Fayose recently mandated the House of Assembly to probe the administration of Fayemi as the governor of the state between 2010 and 2014.
Fayemi in his reaction went to court to challenge legality of the alleged probe, describing it as a ruse.
Present at the event were all the governors of the South West, the governor of Zamfara State, and the Chairman of Nigerian governors’ forum, Abdullasis Yari, the governor of Kano State, Abdullahi Ganduje, the governor of Kaduna State, Nasir El-Rufai, the former governor of Ogun State, Aremo Olusegun Osoba, among other dignitaries.
