Father, son die after eating poisonous meal in Abuja

Tragedy struck at the Byazhin, Kubwa area of Abuja as a man and his nine year old son were discovered dead after eating a meal suspected to be poisonous.

DAILY POST gathered that the incident occurred on Sunday, when the deceased, a generator repairer and his son, Abdulmalik died in their sleep after eating their food around 4am.

A resident in the area disclosed that both deceased persons woke up at about 4am and ate their meal before going back to sleep in preparation for the day’s fasting, but never woke.

“When they did not come out as usual that Sunday morning, the neighbours became worried and had to force the door open and saw two of them lying lifeless,” the resident noted.

A neighbour to the deceased persons who wished not to be mentioned said he left early for church on the fateful day but was surprised to see people around the deceased’s residence when he returned home.
