Tragedy struck in Dei-dei, Bwari Area Council of the Federal Capital Territory following the death of a 45-year-old man, Ibukun Oyedeji who reportedly committed suicide in his room.
Oyedeji, a father of two and a manager of a shop at a popular timber shade in the area was said to have committed suicide after suffering from chronic ulcer that defiled medication.
It was learnt that the deceased swallowed some quantities of shaving powder after dropping a suicide note.
According to reports, the 45-year-old’s neighbours discovered his corpse in his room with foam coming out of his mouth while the poisonous substance was in a cup and the note by his side.
Upon the discovery, Oyedeji was said to have been rushed to the Kubwa general hospital where he later gave up the ghost.
The Kubwa Divisional Police Officer, Chief Superintendent Nurrudeen Sabo while confirming the incident said the corpse had been released to the family for burial.
