Governor Babatunde Fashola of Lagos State on Wednesday approved the appointment of four high court judges for the state.
This is contained in a statement issued by the spokesperson for the Lagos State Judiciary, Mrs Grace Alo.
According to the statement, the newly appointed judges are Mrs Iyabo Akinkugbe, Mrs Serifat Sonaike, Mr Abdulfattah Lawal and Mr Abisoye Bashua.
The statement said that the approval followed the recommendation of the National Judicial Council headed by the outgoing Chief Justice of Nigeria, Justice Aloma Mukhtar.
It said that the judges would be sworn-in on November 21.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the appointment brings to 54, the number of judges in the state judiciary.
