Arsene Wenger, has said that fans’ protests will influence his decision to stay on as Arsenal manager, but admitted it is “not the most important factor.”
Wenger is under increasing pressure, after the Gunners were knocked out of the Champions League for the seventh successive season, following a 10-2 aggregate loss to Bayern Munich this week.
Before the game, about 200 fans staged a march outside the Emirates Stadium, demanding for a change in the club.
Asked at his news conference on Thursday, whether the fans’ opinion will impact his decision, Wenger said: “Yes.
“Of course, you consider everything. It will not be the most important factor but of course, you consider it.”
The club’s chairman, Keswick Chips, on Thursday released a statement, saying “any decisions will be made by us mutually and communicated at the right time in the right way”.
