The declaration of Boko Haram leaders as wanted persons by the Nigerian military is undoubtedly taking its toll on defenceless citizens, as the group appears to have increased its onslaught.
DailyPost on Sunday gathered that gunmen attacked a Christian family in Kano while on their way to church in the morning.
The attackers who rode on motorbikes ambushed the family of three, killing the father, mother and their young son at the corner of a Masalaci in Unguwar-Gano Yar’akwa area, Kano outskirts.
They were reportedly shot around 8am while driving in an area where the media office of the Boko Haram sect was situated before it was demolished by the military.
Kano State Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), ASP Magaji Majia who confirmed the killing to newsmen said the assailants escaped before the police got to the scene of the attack.
The killings occurred same day a successful attack was carried out at the Military Protestant Church inside the Armed Forces Command and Staff College in Jaji, near Kaduna. At least 10 people died, while 30 others were injured in the twin explosions.
