Family cries out over disappearance of 39-year-old kidnap victim[PHOTO]

The Nwokorie family from Umuerim, in Ehime Mbano, Imo State, has lamented the disappearance of their son, Charles Uchenna Nwokorie who was robbed and kidnapped by unknown gunmen on September 6, 2017.

The 39-year-old graduate of Imo State University, was abducted by unknown men at his residence, 4 Moongate Road, Elele, Rivers State.

According to a close family source, the armed robbers barged into his apartment, and after requesting for money kidnapped the victim.

The Source said, ”The abductors called for ransom for sometime, then stopped communicating with the family.

”The case was reported to the Anti-kidnapping unit of Mini Okoro Police Station, Port-Harcourt, Rivers State but there is still no trace of his whereabouts.”

The family are therefore calling on the Inspector General of Police, Ibrahim Idris, and the Governor Nyesom Wike, of Rivers State to intervene in the matter.

They, however, requested anyone with useful information about Charles’ whereabouts to contact the nearest police station.

When contacted, the Rivers state Police Public Relations Officer, Nnamdi Omoni, said the report was yet to reach his desk.
