Falcons drop to 33rd place in latest FIFA rankings

The Super Falcons are now ranked 33rd in the world, according to the latest FIFA rankings released on Friday.

It represents one step down for the African Champions, who occupied the 32nd position in February’s rankings.

Nigeria however continues to top other African countries and are followed by Ghana (52) and Cameroon (53).

In the overall ranking, Germany remains the number one country in the world, USA are in second place and are followed by France and Japan.

The Falcon’s opponents at the 2015 FIFA Women’s World Cup occupy the 5th (Sweden) and 10th (Australia) places.
