Nigeria U20 Women team, the Super Falconets, on Wednesday booked a place in the final of the ongoing FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup currently holding in Canada, after pummeling the Korea DPR 6 -2. Nigeria went into the lead as early as the 2nd minute through Courtney Dike who scored her second goal in five matches.
Asisat Oshoala, who was voted Man of the Match, grabbed four goals in the game and seventh in the competition.
Uchechi Sunday also netted her third goal of the tournament after volleying home a cross Oshoala.
The Falconets have now reached the final of the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup for the second time after it lost 2-0 to hosts, Germany in 2010 edition of the competition.
The Falconets will be facing either Germany or France on Sunday at Montreal’s Olympic Stadium.
