Nigeria’s U-20 women national team, the Falconets, on Sunday defeated DR Congo 2-1, in the second round, first leg qualifier for the 2016 FIFA U-20 World Cup.
Chinasa Uchendu and Chinwendu Ihezuo scored for Peter Dedevbo’s team, as they overcame their hosts in Kinshasa.
The second leg will be played in Nigeria between October 9 and 11.
South Africa or Zambia await the winner of the tie between the Falconets and DR Congo, in the final round of the qualifying series.
