The proper trial of the seven suspected kidnappers of former Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Chief Olu Falae will begin on December 2.
The suspects, who are Fulanis, appeared on Tuesday at the Ondo State High Court sitting in Akure, the state capital, presided over by Justice Rotimi Olumide.
Five of the kidnap suspects have appeared initially before the court after which two others arrested and arraigned earlier by the Department of State Services (DSS) in Abuja joined them in Ondo.
The judge ordered that they should be remanded at Olokuta Prison till the matter comes up on December 2.
The suspects, who kidnapped Falae at his farm in Ilado, Akure collected N5million ransom before releasing the Afenifere chieftain to his family.
The State Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Mr. Femi Joseph told reporters after the proceedings that the force would pursue the case to a logical conclusion. .
