Fabregas to hold showdown talks with Barcelona, as United and Arsenal watch on

In the next 48 hours, Barcelona midfielder Cesc Fabregas, will hold talks with the new manager Gerardo Martino, to seek assurances over his future at the club.

Both Manchester United and Arsenal are monitoring the 26-year-old’s situation at the Camp Nou and Fabregas wants to clarify his position, before he publicly declares his intentions about his future this summer.

On Friday at his unveiling, Martino insisted that the Spain international was not for sale, even with the speculations that United were set to return with a new €41million for the former Arsenal skipper. The Gunners have a fixed buy-back clause of around €30million in his contract and Arsene Wenger is eager to bring back the player to the Emirates.
