“Fabregas is hurt at Barcelona because he does not play enough” – Wenger

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger, has revealed that former skipper Cesc Fabregas, is not happy at Barcelona, because he is not playing regularly.

The 26-year-old left the Emirates to join Barca in 2011 and has found himself behind Andres Iniesta, Xavi and Sergio Busquets. Neymar is set to arrive this summer and Fabregas has been linked with a return to the Premier League.

“I think at the moment he’s lacking the confidence of being a regular player,” he told Al Jazeera. “Recently he has not been that.

“Cesc is such a passionate player, a player of such quality, that it must hurt him not to play in every single game. That’s what he misses. When you come in and out you never play with full confidence.”
