Chelsea manager, Antonio Conte has confirmed Chelsea goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois missed the FA Cup quarter-final clash against Leicester City owing to injury.
Veteran goalkeeper, Willy Caballero has started all five of Chelsea’s FA Cup matches this season.
Conte opted for the same strategy at the King Power Stadium on Sunday but revealed before the game that Courtois was struggling with an injury, believed to be a hamstring problem.
Speaking to BBC Sport, Conte, said, “This game has the same importance as at the start of the season. We have to try to play every competition and fight until the end.
“Courtois is injured. Caballero has played every game in this competition and played well.”
The Blues face a battle to finish in the top four, with Tottenham and Liverpool moving above them in recent weeks with 8 games remaining.
