Arsenal boss, Unai Emery, has said he was “very proud” of youngsters Joe Willock and Eddie Nketiah, after the FA Cup victory over Blackpool. The Gunners booked their place in the fourth round of the competition, with a comprehensive 3-0 victory over League One outfit Blackpool on Saturday.

Willock scored twice before half-time to put Arsenal in complete control of the tie and also had a goal disallowed late on.

Alex Iwobi rounded off an impressive performance when he added Arsenal’s third on 82 minutes.

Emery, speaking to BBC Sport, said: “We did everything today – every player worked so hard.

“It was important for us to win today because we have 13 victories in this competition so today with this mentality we did well.

“We imposed our quality on the game and stuck to our game plan and it was good to see the young players do well today as well.

“I am very proud of [Joe] Willock and Eddie [Nketiah] because Eddie had three good chances to score and Willock scored two.

“They train very well in the second team and with us in training as well.”
