FA Cup: Solskjaer reveals player that helped Man United in 3-1 win over Arsenal

Manchester United caretaker manager, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has lauded forward, Jesse Lingard’s performances against Arsenal following his side’s FA Cup fourth round 3-1 victory at Emirates.

Solskjaer described Lingard as a “big game-player” and promised that Manchester United “will look” after the England international.

Goals from Alexis Sanchez, Jesse Lingard and Marcus Rashford gave Solskjaer’s men all three points against Arsenal at Emirates.

However, a goal from Pierre Emerick-Aubameyang was not enough to hand Unai Emery’s side a point against United.

“Jesse’s a big game-player,” Solskjaer was quoted by Metro UK as saying at post-match.

“He’s shown that for England, for us. He always pops up with goals, was it last year counter-attack goal against Arsenal?

“So Jesse is someone we never, never hesitate to put in a Man United team and he’s been brought through this system, he knows what this means, he knows the club, he knows this history, he knows all the counter-attacking goals we’ve scored against Arsenal.

“He knows everything about the club and he’s someone we’ll look after.”
