FA Cup: Herrera calls for calm after Man United win against Tottenham

Manchester United midfielder, Ander Herrera has called on the Red Devils to remain calm and prepare properly for the FA Cup finals after defeating Tottenham at Wembley on Saturday.

United came from a goal down to beat Spurs 2-1 in the FA Cup semi-final to qualify for the finals of the competition with Sanchez, Ander Herrera scoring and Pogba delivering an authoritative display.

Herrera advised his teammates not to get carried away with the win over Spurs.

“We have won nothing yet,” Herrera told MUTV.

“We all have to stay calm and prepare for the final properly.

“We still have to play a final and a final at Wembley is always a special game; you never know what can happen.

“So let’s prepare properly, but now let’s focus on Arsenal (United’s next league game) because we want to finish the season in second.”

“I know I have to keep the balance of the team, sometimes with Nemanja (Matic), because we have Paul (Pogba) who is a fantastic player who can create everything,” Herrera continued.

“So we have to leave him sometimes free and I have to be more next to Nemanja, but try to sometimes be in those positions where I can score, and I did it.

“They (Tottenham) are very talented, they play with a lot of players in attack.

“I think they have also a fantastic manager, who is creating problems for the opponents, so today was about suffering. We knew we were going to fight sometimes and defend together”, he added.

Mourinho’s men will clash with Arsenal in their next game in the Premier League next Sunday at Old Trafford.
