Arsenal have won the 2017 FA Cup, thanks a 2-1 win over London rivals Chelsea at Wembley on Saturday.
The Gunners came into the game needing to finish the season on a high, after they missed out on Champions League qualification, on the last day of the Premier League season.
Alexis Sanchez fired Arsene Wenger’s men into the lead in the five minutes, as Arsenal took charge of the game from the blast of the referee’s whistle. Danny Welbeck and Mesut Ozil squandered good chances to add more goals in the first half.
In the second half, Chelsea went a man down after Victor Moses was shown two yellow cards – the second for simulation.
However, it was Antonio Conte’s men who scored the next goal, as Diego Costa found space inside the box to blast home the equalizer.
Arsenal responded instantly. Substitute Olivier Giroud broke into space and crossed for Aaron Ramsey to seal the win.
