Arsenal forward, Alexis Sanchez has equaled Robin Van Persie’s record of 30 goals in a single season.
His controversial first goal against Chelsea in the FA Cup final on Saturday made him the first Arsenal player in five seasons to reach the mark.
Sanchez struck in controversial circumstances in the 4th minute taking him to 30 goals in all competitions for the 2016-17 season for the Gunners.
It was the first time since Van Persie’s 2011-12 campaign that an Arsenal player scored 30 goals.
The Chilean has also been involved in 45 goals in 51 appearances for Wenger’s side this season.
His opener against Chelsea was also the fastest ever strike for Arsenal in an FA Cup final, scored with 3:49 on the clock.
Aresal went ahead to win the match 2-1 thanks to Aaron Ramsey’s late header, lifting their third FA Cup title in four seasons.
