Chelsea manager, Antonio Conte, has revealed three major injury worries ahead the club’s clash with Newcastle.
According to the Italian, Alvaro Morata, Thibaut Courtois and Willian are all unavailable for Chelsea’s FA Cup clash with Newcastle.
While Morata is suffering from back injury, Courtois is going through ankle injury which they picked up ahead of Chelsea’s Carabao Cup defeat at Arsenal and the duo will both be missing again at Stamford Bridge on Sunday afternoon.
For Willian, he started at the Emirates but was forced off in the 30th minute with a hamstring injury and replaced by Ross Barkley.
Conte told reporters, “Morata and Courtois are out.
Asked when the pair will return, he responded, “I don’t know, it is very difficult to tell you today how many days they need to come back.
“Morata has a problem in his back and Courtois took a kick in his ankle. [Cesc] Fabregas trained today and tomorrow I will check his physical condition and form.
“Willian is out. Today with the doctor, he will have a scan to evaluate his injury. But I don’t think we’re talking about a serious injury.
“Fabregas trained today and tomorrow I will check his physical condition and form.”
