The Football Association, FA, is set to agree to an £800million deal with American billionaire, Shahid Khan, for Wembley Stadium.
Daily mail, UK, reports that Khan has tabled an £800m offer for the stadium in north-west London and FA chiefs are on the verge of accepting.
The deal would see Khan pay £500m up front to the FA and allow the federation keep Wembley hospitality business that is valued at around £300m.
The billionaire, who is worth around £5.25bn, bought Fulham football club in 2013.
The agreement would allow the FA to host the majority of England matches at Wembley stadium but the autumn internationals are now likely to be held at grounds across the country, a move that is likely to please supporters.
The FA Cup final, Championship play-off final and Rugby League’s Challenge Cup final would all remain at Wembley under the agreement.
Khan’s plans could affect Spurs’ hopes of hosting at least two NFL matches a season at their new stadium.
Wembley took around eight years to build and was finished in 2007 at the cost of around £790m.
