Super Eagles goalkeeper, Ikechukwu Ezenwa, has been appointed as the new captain of FC IfeanyiUbah, ahead of the 2016/2017 Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL).
The experienced shot stopper, takes over from Wilson Elu, who will now act as assistant captain.
“Ikechukwu Ezenwa will captain our team (FC IfeanyiUbah) for the new season,” Paul Ezeka, the media officer of the club revealed to Completesportsnigeria.com.
“He is an individual with exemplary leadership qualities which is what we are looking for.
“He is also a popular figure among his teammates, and we hope his captaincy will bring luck to the team.”
Ezenwa only joined the Nnewi team from Sunshine Stars, during the mid-season transfer window last year.
