A former minister of education, Oby Ezekwesili has reacted to a statement credited to Police spokesman Jimoh Moshood calling Benue Governor, Samuel Ortom a ‘drowning man’.

The BBOG convener expressed shock at Moshood’s attack on a governor of a state of the federation on national Tv.

According to her, the call for Inspector General of Police Ibrahim Idris’s resignation did not justify Moshood’s statement.

On her official twitter page, she wrote “Wonders! Did I just hear the PRO of our country’s police .@PoliceNG describe Governor of a State of this federation as a “a drowning man” on .@channelstv ?

“He justified his “jankaraization” of our National institution as “because the Governor asked his Boss to resign”. WAAAAWU!”

Governor Ayodele Fayose of Ekiti State on Tuesday chided police for calling Benue governor a ‘drowning man’ and declaring Ibrahim Babnagida’s spokeman, Kasssim Aregbua wanted.

He described the comments made by the force PRO, Jimoh Moshood as an insult to all governors.
