The League Management Company (LMC), has given approval to Heartland, to register Victor Ezeji for the remaining matches of the 2014/2015 Nigeria Professional Football League campaign.

This development means that the former Dolphins player, will hit an unprecedented 20th consecutive season as a professional player in the domestic league.

Ezeji has also played for Kano Pillars, Enyimba and Sunshine Stars.

LMC’s chairman, Shehu Dikko, explained that the approval was made in line with the relevant provisions of the NPFL framework and rules, which allow the body to grant waivers for players to move clubs outside the transfer window.

It is expected that Ezeji, who has scored for all the teams he played for in the NPFL, will call time on his glittering career at Heartland.
