A bomb explosion inside a mosque, near the Monday Market in Maiduguri, the Borno State capital, has left several persons dead.
DAILY POST gathered that body parts of human beings were scattered all over the place.
Security operatives are said to have dispersed residents in other to clear the area and evacuate victims of the blast.
An eyewitness told DAILY POST that he was about going into the mosque after performing ablution when he heard the blasts.
“This is very sad for us in Maiduguri; we did not sleep as a result of gun battle between soldiers and Boko Haram insurgents in the early hours of today”, Alkali Hassan lamented.
For now normalcy has returned to the area, but residents are trooping into the state specialist hospital in search of their loved ones.
