Explosion reported in Asokoro area of Abuja

Incoming reports have it that an explosive device has gone off in a housing estate, near the elite Asokoro area of Abuja.

According to eye witnesses, the explosion was caused by cooking gas, and happened around 1.41am on Tuesday morning, at an estate owned by Efab

Another source claims an electric fault caused the fire which led to an airconditioner’s compressor exploding.

No casualty has been confirmed yet, but DailyPost will bring you updates as we get them.

UPDATE: The Police has dismissed stories that it was a bomb blast, and confirmed it was a fire outbreak, caused by electrical fault.
