Explosion hits Federal Prison in Ekiti

DAIlY POST can authoritatively report that an explosion has hit the Federal Prison in Ekiti State. The explosion took place last night around 10pm at the federal penitentiary situated in Ado Ekiti, the State capital.

Prisons Spokesman, Mr. Ope Fatinikun who confirmed the incident to DAILY POST said he was on his way to the site and would not “want to react based on hearsay.”

He pledged to revert back with detailed information surrounding the report once he is fully abreast of what transpired.

However, our source in Ekiti says some inmates were set free after the explosion.
