Ex-Police boss, Tsav speaks on Buhari’s visit to Benue

The Public Complaints Commissioner for Benue, Alhaji Abubakar Tsav, says President Muhammadu Buhari’s visit to Benue would improve security and create better relationship between the state and the federal government.

Tsav, a former commissioner of police, said this in a chat with the News Agency of Nigeria on Monday in Makurdi, the state capital.

He also noted that the visit would create a strong synergy with both the president and Benue political leaders.

The commissioner, who regretted that the state was backward in infrastructure development, however appealed to the president to create more time to return to the state.

Tsav stated that this would give Buhari “the opportunity to interact with the people to know more about the problems in order to tackle them”.

“He should come back to Benue to watch Swange dance and interact with the people”.

During his interaction with stakeholders, Buhari urged herdsmen and farmers to live peacefully.

He noted that his government was deeply worried about the incessant attacks on Benue’s rural communities, and vowed to end the menace “very soon”.
