Ex-IG of Police, Ibrahim Coomassie is dead

A former Inspector-General of Police, Ibrahim Coomasie, is dead.

He passed away at the age of 76.

A close family source told newsmen that the ex-Police boss died at Orthopaedic Hospital, Katsina at 6pm on Thursday.

The late Coomassie served from 1993 to 1999, under the military governments of Generals Sani Abacha and Abdulsalami Abubakar.
