Ex-Chief of Defense Staff: Ben Bruce, Fayose’s aide react to Alex Badeh’s death

Ben Bruce, the Senator representing Bayelsa East district in the National Assembly has queried the assassination of Former Chief of defense staff, Alex Sabundu Badeh.

DAILY POST had reported that Badeh who rose to the rank of Air Chief Marshal in the Nigerian military, died from gunshot wounds he sustained after his vehicle was attacked while returning from his farm along Abuja-Keffi Road on Tuesday.

Reacting, Bruce questioned the state of Nigeria under the present administration.

The Bayelsa lawmaker, on his Twitter page, wrote: “Are we so caught up in APC versus PDP that we are don’t notice Nigeria is failing right before our eyes?

“Soldiers being killed by terrorists at an alarming rate. Prominent Nigerians like Badeh are assassinated or kidnapped and killed. Whole states taken over by bandits. What is happening?”

Likewise, Lere Olayinka, the aide to former Ekiti State Governor, Ayodele Fayose reacting to Badeh’s death queried security of Nigerians under the Muhammadu Buhari’s government .

He wondered what will be the fate of Nigerians if a former Chief of defense staff could be assassinated.

Fayose’s aide on his Twitter page wrote: “In a nation where retired Chief of Defence Staff is murdered like this, what should ordinary Nigerians do?

“Yet, our security men are only interested in Buhari’s second term ambition.May God restore sanity to our land. RIP Alex Badeh.”
