Paul Pogba’s former team-mate at Juventus, Patrice Evra, has hinted that the midfielder is having problems with Manchester United manager, Jose Mourinho.
Pogba set a record for the most expensive transfer when he joined United from Juventus for £89.3million in 2016.
But the Frenchman has frequently come under criticism for not living up to his price tag and had several run-ins with Mourinho towards the end of the 2017/2018 season.
“I was begging him to stay when he left for United,” Evra revealed on ITV.
“The problem with Paul is that his image is becoming bigger than his football. He’s got everything, he just needs to be more consistent. He doesn’t have any special haircut today so the focus can be on his football.”
“He’s a really shy guy, people think he’s arrogant, he’s really humble, he wants to be the best. When he has a good connection with his manager [Mourinho], he will go to his best.”
