Everton want Wenger to replace Allardyce

With Arsenal manager, Arsene Wenger seemingly on his way out of the club, the Frenchman could still end up staying in the Premier League.

According to the Daily Star, Everton are eyeing Wenger to replace Sam Allardyce.

On Sunday, the Gunners were beaten 2-1 at Brighton, their fourth successive defeat.

It increased speculation over Wenger’s time at the club.

With Everton planning to fire Allardyce following a miserable run of their own, Wenger could be offered another opportunity to remain in England.

Toffees owner, Farhad Moshiri, believes Wenger “is the ideal candidate to revive the Merseyside club’s fortunes”.

Moshiri previously co-owned a 15% in Arsenal with Alisher Usmanov and is expected to make his move in the summer.
