Europa League: Sarri confirms three Chelsea players will miss Malmo clash

Chelsea manager, Maurizio Sarri has confirmed that his side will be without Kepa Arrizabalaga, Davide Zappacosta and Pedro when they tackle Malmo in the UEFA Europa League round of 32 second-leg tie at Stamford Bridge on Thursday night.

According to Sarri, Zappacosta is currently having a fever, while Pedro is having a very strong stomach problem.

The Italian gaffer also said that Kepa is yet to recover from a hamstring injury he sustained during Chelsea’s 6-0 defeat to Manchester City in the Premier League encounter some two weeks ago.

Sarri’s side head to the game following a 2-1 victory over Malmo in the first-leg encounter last week.

“We have [Davide] Zappacosta with a fever. We have Pedro with a very strong stomach ache,” he was quoted by Metro UK as saying at a pre-match press conference ahead of Chelsea’s clash with Malmo on Thursday.

“We also have a problem with Kepa’s hamstring.” Asked if the shot-stopper would be okay to take on Man City, Sarri added: “I hope so.”
