Marcus Rashford scored a second-half free-kick, as Manchester United beat Celta Vigo 1-0 at Balaidos, to claim the upper hand in their Europa League semi-final tie.
Jose Mourinho’s dominated the opening exchanges, but failed to take advantage of the chances they created.
However, in the 66th minute of play, Rashford who scored the dramatic extra-time winner against Anderlecht in the previous round, blasted a free-kick past Sergio Alvarez.
United now travel back to England with an away goal and an aggregate lead, ahead of next week Thursday’s second leg.
The winner will face either Lyon or Ajax in the final in Stockholm on May 24.
