Manchester United could be without Zlatan Ibrahimovic for the rest of this season, after the striker suffered a serious-looking knee injury in their Europa League clash against Anderlecht.
The 35-year-old landed awkwardly, as he tried to control a ball in the final seconds of normal time and his knee appeared to hyperextend as he landed.
Ibrahimovic, who is United’s top scorer this season, was treated on the pitch as the final whistle was blown, before limping off.
If the injury is as serious as it first appeared, the striker may not play again this season.
Jose Mourinho will also be worried about Marcos Rojo. The defender was stretchered off during their 2-1 win at Old Trafford.
United take on Burnley on Sunday before the Manchester derby at the Etihad next Thursday.
