Europa League final: Manchester United beat Ajax, qualify for Champions League

Paul Pogba and Henrikh Mkhitaryan scored for Manchester United, as they defeated Ajax 2-0 in the Europa League final played on Wednesday night in Stockholm.

Pogba opened the scoring in the 18th minute, after his effort was deflected past the goalkeeper.

Although the Dutch club dominated most of the game, it was United who scored the next goal. Chris Smalling got a touch on Juan Mata’s corner, before Mkhitaryan flicked it past the keeper.

With this win, the Red Devils have now qualified for next season’s Champions League.

They join four other Premier League clubs: Chelsea, Tottenham Hotspur, Manchester City and Liverpool.
