Arsenal manager, Unai Emery, has insisted that his players will put aside the disappointment of not finishing in the top four, when they travel to face Valencia in the second leg of their Europa League semi-final on Thursday.

The Gunners have all but missed out on finishing in Champions League places, following a 1-1 draw with Brighton on Sunday.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang’s opener, was cancelled out in the second half by Glenn Murray’s penalty.

Speaking to Sky Sports after the game, Emery said: “I think they will switch off (from the disappointment). We are going to be strong in our mentality to prepare the best possible match on Thursday.

“The Premier League is our first target and we didn’t get the position we wanted, we couldn’t be in the top four.

“But we play on Thursday in the second leg and this is a title to play for and a way to go to the Champions League.”
