Arsenal striker, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has said that Arsenal still need to improve defensively after recording their fourth consecutive victory over Vorskla Polta in the Europa League on Thursday.
Aubameyang netted twice as Danny Welbeck and Mesut Ozil both scored allowing the Gunners to defeat Ukrainian side, Vorskla 4-2.
The Gunners lost their first two games of the season against Manchester City and Chelsea but have won four straight matches, beating West Ham, Cardiff City, Newcastle United and now Vorskla.
Gabon international was pleased with his team’s performance in the Europa League group match but says they still need to improve defensively.
“I think we played well in the first half and at the beginning of the second as well and we scored four goals, but we need to improve and fight to not concede goals like we did in the last few minutes,” Metro UK quoted him as saying.
“Of course we want to win it [the Europa League], especially for me because I didn’t play in the competition last year and I am really happy to be back in this competition.
“We want to go to the final of course, it is an objective and hopefully we will do well in our next games.
“We know that the Premier League is long, there are a lot of games, but these ones we need to win straight away.
“We have to perform quickly so it is good to start with a win and the next game will be important for us also.”
