Arsenal have taken a big step towards qualifying for the Europa League final, after they beat Valencia 3-1 in the first leg of their semi-final clash on Thursday night.
Unai Emery’s men came into the tie on the back of three straight defeats and were quickly behind again.
Mouctar Diakhaby headed the visitors in front from a Parejo corner kick.
However, Alexandre Lacazette turned the game around with a quick-fire brace before the break.
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang added a late third, to put the Gunners in control of the tie.
In the other game, Chelsea were held to a 1-1 draw against Frankfurt in Germany.
Luka Jovic opened the scoring, before Pedro Rodriguez levelled for the lues.
Both second legs will be played next Thursday, May 9.
