Former Super Falcons coach, Eucharia Uche has said ex-players like Ann Chiejine and Mercy Akide-Udoh, have what it takes to manage the team.
The Falcons failed to qualify for next year’s Olympics in Rio De Janeiro and could not win any medal at the just concluded All Africa Games in Congo.
To compound the slump, the team which is currently coached by Christopher Danjuma, slipped to 38th place in the recent FIFA rankings.
“Everybody is saddened by the fact that the Falcons have been poor recently, falling at the first round of the World Cup and failing to win the football event of the All Africa Games,” the former Super Falcons star told Completesportsnigeria.com.
“However I feel the team will bounce back in the nearest future. We should start by hiring a quality coach for the team if the plan of the NFF is to get one.
“And with some modesty, I feel someone like me, Ann Chiejine, Mercy Akide-Udoh and a few others deserve to be in charge of the team”, she added.
